OTP Bank is Bank of the Year again
OTP Bank won in 4 categories of the Mastercard Bank of the Year competition and, for the sixth time in a row, received the Bank of the Year Award. Based on the decision of the internationally renowned members of the jury, OTP Bank was named Sustainable Bank of the Year, and received three more awards: Mobile Banking Solution of the Year, Marketing Communication Campaign of the Year, and UX Solution of the Year.
The Mastercard Bank of the Year competition was renewed last year, allowing commercial banks offering retail services in Hungary to compete in 8 categories, showcasing their customer-friendly, innovative and sustainable solutions in their applications. OTP Bank won the Grand Prize of the competition for the sixth time this year, and the internationally renowned jury of experts also awarded the Bank in 4 other categories.
“We consider the awards we have just won as high-level recognition and excellent feedback. They prove that our digital developments are going in the right direction, and that we can provide our customers with new solutions that make their banking easier and more efficient. We also have a sound business strategy and have been able to maintain stable operations. OTP Bank is Bank of the Year again
By presenting OTP Bank with the Mobile Banking Solution of the Year Award, the jury recognised that the creators of the Bank’s new internet and mobile banking application were guided by a human-oriented, customer-focused mind-set. In addition, the panel praised the integrated design and the fact that the application allows OTP Bank’s customers to have a complete ecosystem in their hands, which, in addition to a wide range of daily financial services, also provides users with a number of additional services.
OTP Bank’s new internet and mobile banking services were also recognised with the Marketing Communication Campaign Award 2021. According to the justification, the Bank’s marketing team faced a major challenge in raising customers’ awareness of the need to replace the old applications with new ones and to sign a new digital contract to be able to use them. In addition, the jury particularly appreciated the fact that the marketing team paid attention to brand fit throughout the whole campaign, and in addition to finding new tools for the difficult task, every element of the campaign remained consistently thoughtful.
In the category of the shared UX Solution of the Year Award, the jury recognised that OTP Bank’s selfie account opening solution makes a basic yet often very complex banking administration process a simple procedure that offers high-level customer experience at the same time. As for the Sustainable Bank of the Year Award, the jury highlighted that OTP Bank performed consistently well across all of the criteria under review. This includes, for example, the Bank’s exemplary approach that it is trying to put into practice in many areas. In the jury’s opinion, OTP Bank is addressing the issue of sustainability not only as a responsible financial service provider, but also as a responsible employer and social actor.
